I know for sure I cannot solve the problem.
Here is the first thing I would do:
Put the USA Government in the pill business. Yep.
Drugs must be a big portion of monthly insurance premiums right? I am no expert by any means, but... from what I can tell - we may be on to something here.
If the US Government got in the pill business and sold them at cost... So the insurance companies could lower our cost by ? (i have no idea how much - got to be a bunch)
I really think this would be a good way to go, for now. Baby steps.
The USA cannot afford to fund insurance for all. Not right now. Lets get everything else in place.
In place? Yea, lets run it like a real business.
